Today in Moscow has opened its doors the multipurpose sports complex “Yantar” located at Marshal Katukov Street, 22.
The object’s area is 33 000 sq m. The developer and the investor of the project is the company “City-XXI century”. The total sum of the financial investments exceeded 4 billion rub. The non-polluting materials were used at the project realization, new technologies took root, and the advanced engineering systems were put. The ice palace of sports includes two ice arenas: for hockey and figure skating, adult and children's swimming pools, a sports hall for mini football, basketball, volleyball and tennis, a choreography hall, an exercise room, mini hotel for sportsmen with 12 rooms, and an underground parking for 255 cars. The School of the Higher Olympic Skill under the direction of the figure skating deserved trainer Elena Chaikovskaya will be opened on the basis of the sport centre soon. As the general director of “City-XXI century” Stanislav Arhipov has declared CRE at the press conference today, “Yantar” is the biggest sports project built in the capital during the last years. The initial idea to construct a skating rink for Elena Chaikovskaya was born almost 10 years ago. Subsequently it has outgrown in a high-grade ice palace of sports. The capital town governor supported the given initiative after that Moscow government has allocated the land for building. MFC “Yantar” was under construction within the limits of the project of Stroginsky “Minipolis”. It assumes creation of a high-grade infrastructure, family clubs and cafe, the children's and youthful developing centres, and also 9 residential buildings.
