Developers live their strategy

Many developers did not look far ahead before the crisis. This is one of the reasons behind the mass transfer of company shares and real estate assets from developers to banks and other lenders as debt coverage. And this is mainly the Russian practice. Meanwhile there is a large number of instruments in the international practice that help any company, including real estate companies, to work out a feasible development strategy.

Office desolation. An epidemic or just a sneeze?

Company reports in times of crisis are very close to news headlines from battle fields: cities are abandoned following heavy combat... The average vacancy rate in Moscow’s business centers in 2009 surpassed 20%. About 25% of St. Petersburg’s offices are vacant. According to GVA Sawyer, offices that were inaugurated during the crisis show a vacancy rate of about 60-80%. The whole picture looks like an office apocalypse: Gloomy rows of business centers with dark broken windows. These empty offices are becoming a disease that is spreading throughout all of Europe. Or is it just a local Russian phenomena?
